3D Printed Jack Pads

This was a quick win with one of my favorite tools, the 3D Printer. The majority of my 3D printing use is functional. I print jigs, fixtures, and fixes for projects I am working on. I've also fixed a few things around the house by creating a quick CAD model and letting my Bambu X1C spit it out. A few of the hard-to-find parts on my E30 are 3D printed from ABS plastic, and I can't count the number of small fixtures I use for fabrication that are made using that same process. To say I'm a fan of 3D printing is a slight understatement.

I recently purchased a set of Harbor Freight Daytona jack stands. I am a big fan of the Schwaben-style stands. They have a pin locking mechanism instead of the traditional cam- lock style stands. The Daytonas are nearly an identical copy of the Schwabens, at least visually. I just needed a set of jack pads for them as I don't want to set my fragile E30 on the stand directly.

The pads are relatively simple designs: a round puck with a few reliefs for the pinch weld and the jack's edges. I had a model whipped up and off to the printer to print my first version. These were printed with Bambu TPU for AMS. I don't believe this will be as durable as the rubber ones, but they got me through the weekend so I can get some on order.
